</p><p style="color:#000000;padding:0;margin:25px 0 0 0">L’opi s’obté de les plantes de l’herba dormidora, una mena de rosella de nom científic <em>Papaver somniferum</em>. El nom ja indica una de les seves propietats: induir la son. L’opi produeix un estat de placidesa al qual segueix la <strong>somnolència</strong>. Ha estat utilitzat des de l’antiguitat com a medecina, per la seva propietat de calmar el dolor i de tranquil·litzar.
